MAJOR GIFTS

Major Gifts are largest single gifts that an organization receives. There is no set dollar amount for a major gift; it might be $1,000 or $100,000 depending on the average amount for individual contributions to your nonprofit.



MARKET

Any place where suppliers, makers and distributors sell and consumers buy. Businesses that operate in markets are usually in competition with other businesses.


MARKETING

the process of researching, promoting, selling and distributing a product or service. Marketing covers a broad range of practices, including advertising, publicity, promotion, pricing, and overall packaging of the goods or services.


MARKETING CHANNELS

Different ways that you can get your products and services to your customers. They are useful because they can make your goods and services more available and accessible. Examples could include; wholesalers, retail sales agents or catalogues.


MATCHING GRANT

sometimes called challenge funds, requires the recipient to raise an equal amount of money in order to receive the offer amount.


MULTILEVEL MARKETING (MLM)

Any business in which a person receives proceeds from their own sales and from the sales made by people they have signed up, and potentially people those people have signed up, and so on.
